These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of all products and services provided by Mault, Inc. (“Mault,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including the Mault VS Code extension, Mault.ai website, APIs, integrations, and AI-powered tools (collectively, the “Services”).
By installing, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.
If you authenticate using GitHub, Google, or Microsoft, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and account.
Description of Services
Mault provides software tools that assist with:
- AI-powered code integrity checks
- Structural memory and project architecture enforcement
- Real-time detectors for architectural drift and inconsistencies
- Optional integrations with third-party AI providers
Features may evolve, be modified, or discontinued over time.
User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the Services lawfully and responsibly
- Review all AI-generated suggestions before applying them
- Maintain backups of your code and environments
You agree not to misuse the Services, reverse-engineer them, or use them to create malicious, harmful, or unlawful software. Users may not use the Services, including any AI-powered features, to generate, facilitate, or promote malicious, harmful, deceptive, unlawful, or abusive content, or to engage in activities that violate applicable laws or third-party policies.
Users are solely responsible for maintaining backups of their code and environments prior to using automated or AI-assisted features.
AI-Generated Output
AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for production use.
You accept full responsibility for reviewing, testing, and validating all AI-generated output before integrating it into any system or codebase.
No Warranty
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
Mault disclaims all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mault shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, revenue, or business interruption.
Mault’s total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to Mault in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Data Handling
Mault may temporarily process limited code snippets, only when explicitly invoked by the user, to perform integrity checks, AI analysis, or structural validation.
Mault does not store user source code and does not use user code to train machine learning models. Any derived data, such as semantic embeddings, cannot be used to reconstruct original source code.
Termination
You or Mault may terminate access to the Services at any time.
Mault may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or misuse of the Services.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
